The amount of time and work saved over doing it old way, makes a bargain. Illustrating these techniques, beyond your providing the foams and adhesive, made a huge difference. I will order any future speaker kits and supplies from simply speakers.

In this day and age when very few things even meet expectations, to have them so profoundly exceeded is a real treat. I have just finished replacing the foam surround on one of my two 11 woofers. But I persevered, and am a 75 year old woman who loves to listen organ live from iTunes.

It was also very helpful to see how slowly the adhesive sets up, and keep turning speaker pressing foam into place until holds. What went wrong. A: you might have a blown fuse, bulb, or defective crossover component.

It turned out to be ordinary contact cement that had no work time.

I reformed my 8 woofers from 1985 and the sound is fantastic. I can APOS imagine ever replacing surrounds the old way again. Re-installing the woofer was a 5 minute process and sound great. Try to peel the two edges apart.

Q: I ordered a speaker foam repair kit, but am not sure if it fits my. Test the horn by hooking it up directly outside speaker cabinet at low power. You can also substitute our shim stock with thinner material such as business cards or other sturdy pieces of clean paper cut into strips.
