The surround material on both drivers are in excellent condition. You are buying on 2 m k 12 woofers from a dual driver powered Subwoofer, one woofer front firing, second downward firing. This woofer is the down firing. There is no affect on sound quality.

The woofers have been tested and perform great. The woofer with lighter gray gasket material had some of cardboard peeled away when being removed from cabinet.
